Navico is launching in Australia Simrad's new GB40 Glass Bridge integrated navigation system at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2008

Navico is launching in Australia Simrad’s new GB40 Glass Bridge integrated navigation system, specifically engineered for mid sized power and sailing vessels.

Following in the footsteps of the popular GB60 designed for larger vessels, the highly flexible GB40 delivers professional grade power, functionality and robust reliability providing skippers and crew with a total overview of their surroundings and complete control of the vessel.

At the heart of the GB40 is a compact NavComputer which comes pre-loaded with global C-Map MAX Pro 3D cartography combining GPS, land elevation, satellite photos and bathymetric sea floor data to produce a stunning virtual earth display that visually represents the environment around, above and below the vessel.

Other new products launched at Sanctuary Cove include the Simrad NX40 and NX45 NavStations specifically designed for power and sail boats greater than 7m. The systems are capable of providing advanced chart plotting, radar, echosounder, camera images, instrument data, fuel data and more in one user-friendly display. Each system features a built-in, high performance echosounder which can be matched to a transducer of the owner’s choice.

The NavStation will automatically adjust to 600W or 1kW according to the selected transducer.
