Lewmar is releasing a new flush deck hatch at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2008

Lewmar is releasing a new flush deck hatch designed for mounting in moulded deck recesses on boats.

Also at Sanctuary Cove, the company will display three-button windlass and five-button windlass and thruster remote control kits. The marine equipment manufacturer has created a low-cost flush deck hatch which offers high volume boat builders a superyacht standard of styling at a much lower price. The attachment of the acrylic on top of the frame rather than underneath enables a ‘no frame’ look to be achieved. Unlike an aftermarket hatch, the flush hatch is only suitable for installation on new boats where deck recesses are custom moulded by the OEM.

All hatches are made at Lewmar’s headquarters in the UK. The new wireless remote control for windlass and thrusters is suitable for retrofitting to existing installations or wherever a solenoid is installed.

Lewmar’s proprietary encryption scheme uses more than 16 million individual codes to prevent false triggering from any other device or similar fob.
