Community Seagrass Monitoring Project
A community based environmental education and monitoring program, with a focus on seagrass beds across coastal NSW.
The Community Seagrass Monitoring Project is a community based environmental education and monitoring program, with a focus on nearshore seagrass beds across coastal NSW. The aim of the project is to achieve a collaborated effort from community and experts to monitor and preserve Seagrass across NSW.
We aim to form and support groups across NSW in conducting seagrass monitoring, in order to gather localized information across NSW.
The long-term goal of the NSW Community Seagrass Monitoring Project is to achieve collaborated efforts with other other seagrass projects (such as Seagrass-Watch, Queensland) and form a national approach to community seagrass monitoring in Australia.
