Phillip Island is poised to join the superliner cruising circuit, albeit briefly.
One of the biggest liners to sail in Australian waters will call there on a trans-Tasman voyage in the summer of 2009-10.
The 2700-passenger Diamond Princess will leave Auckland on December 22 next year and spend the late afternoon and evening of New Year’s Day off the island.
