Police detain coal ship protesters

Police have detained nine Greenpeace protesters who were allegedly painting climate change slogans on coal ships in north Queensland waters this morning.
They targeted 12 coal carriers that were waiting to dock at the Hay Point terminal in waters south of Mackay.
Greenpeace says three inflatable boats used in the protest have been confiscated by police.
