Wooden boat festival on the move

Posted on 24/06/2008

Hobart’s popular wooden boat festival may be moved to reduce the number of people dodging the entry fee.

The Tourism Minister, Paula Wriedt, has told a Budget Estimates hearing that the festival is at risk if dishonest people continue to gain free entry.

She says at the last festival about one in four people said they were going to buy fresh fish from the punts and were let in free.
