Ship builder killed in catamaran

A ship builder was overcome by fumes and died while working on a boat in a factory in Russell Vale yesterday afternoon.
Michael Parsons, 25, of Fernhill, was found unconscious by a fellow employee in the hull of a catamaran he was helping to build.
Police said Mr Parsons had been working with solvents before he was found by the other employee.
