Fisherman's illegal nets prove costly

A Nannup prawn fisherman caught fishing with illegal nets will have to pay about $180,000 in fines and losses.Richard Federick Denton, 44, has pleaded guilty to breaching conditions of his fishery licence.
Denton altered the fish exclusion devices on his prawn nets to stop fish escaping.
