Recreational fishing suppliers want compensation for bans

Recreational fishing businesses will fight to be compensated for losses of at least 30 per cent they claim will result from fishing bans introduced this week.
The Australian Fishing Trade Association and Fish for Life Alliance are considering their legal options after Fisheries Minister Jon Ford announced recreational fishing restrictions that will include the closure of an area north of Kalbarri down to Augusta for up to four months each year.
